Other uses of skills

Jumping – A jump check is a strength (athletics) or dexterity (acrobatics) check. If you have a running start of at least 10 feet, you move a distance in feet equal to the result of the check in a straight line with a long jump, or one quarter the result as height in feet. With a long jump, you reach half the length of your jump in height in the middle of your jump. If you do not have a running start, the distance jumped is halved. The distance you move with a jump counts as half movement for determining your total movement per round.

Swimming – A swim check is a constitution (athletics) check. Armor heavier than light causes you to suffer disadvantage to checks made to swim.
