Examples:
Medium Your size is medium
- Your speed is 35ft.
- Flamesight: Fire, ash, and smoke do not impair your vision; you can see through them as if they were transparent. You are also unaffected by smoke inhalation.
- Gift of Avarice: You gain +1 accuracy on appraisal checks, as well as to investigation and perception checks to find valuables.
- Fan the Embers: You have a special unarmed attack using the flammable oils within your feathers. This attack deals 1d6 points of fire damage, has a range of 10/30 feet, and is in the splash weapon group with the thrown trait.
- Fiery Blood: You gain resistance against fire and poison damage.
Alternate Racial Features:
Clawed Feet: Your feet sport a wickedly long and sharp claw, making you slower than your kin (your base speed is 30ft instead of 35ft), but granting you a natural weapon that you can use even if your hands are preoccupied. These foot claws deal 1d4 piercing or slashing damage, and if you are able to use both simultaneously (such as while swimming, flying, grappling, or being eaten), this damage is instead 2d4.
Alternate Gifts You may replace Gift of Avarice with one of the following gifts.
- Gift of Alacrity: Whenever you roll initiative, you may roll a d4 and add the result to your roll. Attacks of opportunity that you provoke via movement have difficulty 1.
- Gift of the Blade: You gain proficiency in swords, and you may spend a swift action to conjure a bronze curved blade into a free hand. This blade deals 1d4 points of slashing damage, plus bonus fire damage equal to your proficiency bonus, it is in the swords weapon group and has the finesse trait, and the nick weapon mastery.
- Gift of Flames: You gain proficiency in splash weapons. Whenever you deal fire damage to a creature or object, that damage is increased by +2.
- Gift of Creation: You gain proficiency in two artisan's tools of your choice.
- Gift of Mirrors: You may expend a hit die as a swift action, creating an illusory duplicate of yourself within your space. The duplicate moves with you and mirrors your movements. Whenever you are attacked or an effect targets your AC, make a DC11 flat check. If this check is successful, your duplicate is targeted instead and the triggering attack has no effect, and the flat check DC increases by +2. This duplicate lasts for 1 minute, or until the flat check DC reaches 21.
- Gift of Smoke: You gain proficiency in splash weapons. As a move action, you may create a 20ft sphere of obscuring smoke originating from your space; this smoke blocks line of sight (though flamesight pierces it as normal), it does not move with you and persists for 1d4+1 rounds. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses after completing a night's rest.

- Debt of Blood: You are pale and never seem to have enough energy. Decrease your Constitution score by 1.

- Debt of Meat: You cannot eat meat without becoming extremely sick, completely negating any benefits it might otherwise give you.
- Debt of Speech: You are mute, and cannot make any vocalizations. You may still communicate with sign, whistling, clapping, etc.
- Debt of Truth: You cannot lie without immediately suffering agonizing pain (you suffer Pd6 psychic damage immediately and become staggered for 1 minute, with a DC15 basic charisma save against the psychic damage).
