Mooks

Currently undergoing revision, this is here for convenience

Mooks only use 2 dice, and they are aloted to attack. A mook's defense is static and based off their rating. When using Card Combat rules, mooks only draw one card each action phase, using an AI deck. A mook always takes damage equal to the number of dice used to attack it, regardless if that attack hits.

1. Select Race (as this may modify stats later; any rating increase is a flat +1 to their challenge rating for that calculation). Alternatively, a lesser mook may be used that has no racial abilities whatsoever, and this step may be skipped.

2. Select challenge of 1, 2, or 3. This challenge rating is used in all calculations where a rank or derived bonus is called for, and 1 where proficiency bonus is called for. The listed stats are without any racial modifiers.

A challenge 1 mook has 6 HP and a threshold of 2; 2 stamina and regen; and 4 spirit. It has a base defense of 2.
A challenge 2 mook has 12 HP and a threshold of 4; 4 stamina and 2 regen; and 6 spirit. It has a base defense of 4.
A challenge 3 mook has 18 HP and a threshold of 6; 6 stamina and 2 regen; and 8 spirit. It has a base defense of 6.

3. Select Class; Mooks may only be of the Armsmaster (called Armsmook in this case), Defender, or Skirmisher classes.

An Armsmook gains Advantage 1 to attack rolls, and uses either a) a heavy weapon with a damage multiplier equal to their challenge, or b) a reach +1 weapon with a damage multiplier equal to their challenge -1.
A Defender mook increases their defense by +2, and use a basic weapon with a damage multiplier equal to their challenge -1.
A Skirmisher mook increases their stamina by twice their challenge and their regen by 1, and uses either a) a finesse weapon, b) a reach +1 weapon, or c) a short or medium ranged weapon, any of which has a damage multiplier equal to their challenge -1.

4. A mook's proficiency bonus to any relevant rolls is a flat +1, adding in their challenge rating in place of their stats. This may be increased by racial abilities, but a mook never gains advantage dice outside of the above listed class modifier, or abilities used by allies.
