The Shieldmaiden

LG Female Human Heroic Shade
STR 10 (+0), DEX 14 (+2), CON 15 (+2), INT 10 (+0), WIS 13 (+1), CHA 12 (+1)
Lore:

The Shieldmaiden may be summoned as a Berserker or Defender.

Soul Armory: The Shieldmaiden has access to the following soul shards: Adamant Soul, Bracer of the Elements, Golden Reins, Lunar Breastplate, Pearlstone Bracelet, Shard of Physical Might, Skin of Thorns
Soul Motes (Su): The Shieldmaiden possesses her own pool of motes equal to 1 + 1/3 her hit dice. She may spend motes from her Master's pool or her own to enhance any shield she uses as a skirnir magus of her level, using motes in place of points from an arcane pool. She may cast Shield Other as a spell-like ability by spending 2 motes.
Personal Icon: The Shieldmaiden possesses a unique True Icon, her shield "Ashen Wall". Ashen Wall can be used to shield bash, dealing 2d6 points of bludgeoning or piercing damage, and provides a +4 bonus to AC. The Shieldmaiden retains her shield bonus to AC even when she performs a shield bash, and gains a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls when performing a shield bash. She may deal non-lethal damage with a shield bash without taking an attack penalty. At 4th level, she gains the sacred shield of ash ability.

Sacred Shield of Ash (Sp): While Wielding Ashen Wall, the shieldmaiden may emit a sacred aura as a full round action, granting all allies within 50 feet the benefits of Bless Weapon, Protection from Chaos/Evil, a sacred bonus to attack and damage equal to 1/4th her hit dice, and 2d8 temporary hit points. This aura lasts for 10 minutes, and she may activate this ability once per day. Every four levels afterward, she may use this ability an additional time per day, and the temporary hit points granted increase by +2d8.

Mimic Spellcasting (Sp): The Shieldmaiden may use scrolls, wands, and other magical items as if she were a paladin. She uses her hit dice in place of the item's caster level, if higher, to determine the effects of cure spells and other spells that cure hit point damage. If using an item with charges per day that replicates a paladin spell, she may instead spend motes equal to the spell's level + 1 to not consume a daily charge.
Purity of Spirit (Su): The Shieldmaiden and her master gain a +4 sacred bonus to saves against poison and disease. This bonus persists for the duration of the contract. Starting at 8th level, this ability improves to provide immunity to poison and disease, and the shieldmaiden may cast Neutralize Poison or Remove Disease as a spell-like ability three times per day.
Taunting Focus (Ex): The Shieldmaiden bestows a –4 penalty to attack rolls made against her allies, so long as those allies are within 50 feet of her, and she is aware of the attack. She gains dazzling display as a bonus feat, and may ignore any immunity to mind-affecting effects and fear effects possessed by evil creatures when making demoralize attempts.
Utility Summon – The Shieldmaiden is surprisingly knowledgeable about mythology and local customs. She gains a bonus to knowledge checks relating to other shades equal to her hit dice, and may make such checks untrained. She also gains a bonus to checks made to gather information, or to know about local cultures and customs, equal to half her hit dice + 3.

The Snake Wife

CE Female Lamia Heroic Shade
STR 14 (+2), DEX 15 (+2), CON 14 (+2), INT 8 (-1), WIS 10 (+0), CHA 12 (+1)
Lore:

The Snake Wife may be summoned as a Berserker, Scholar, or Skirmisher. She also qualifies as an Usurper for sufficiently talented Masters.

Alternate Form (Su): The Snake Wife may take either a human form, or a snake-like form. Her human form is nearly indiscernible from a normal human except for her snake-like eyes. In her snake-like form, she has the legless trait, a 20ft base speed, and a 40ft swim speed. In both forms, she possesses a +2 natural armor bonus, and darkvision out to 60 feet.
Soul Armory:
Soul Motes (Su): The snake wife possesses her own pool of motes equal to 1 + 1/3 her hit dice. This increases by +2 if she is summoned as a scholar.
Breath of Flame (Sp): The Snake Wife may throw orbs of flame as an attack, creating them as if she were drawing ammunition. These orbs of flame deal 2d6 points of fire damage, deal bonus damage equal to half her hit dice, and have a thrown range increment of 30 feet. In addition, once per day per four hit dice, she may breath her choice of a 30 ft cone or 60 ft line of fire that deals 1d6 points of fire damage per hit dice she possesses, with a reflex save for half damage. Creatures affected by either her orbs of flame or breath weapon must make a reflex save or catch fire, taking 1d6 points of fire damage per round until they succeed in putting out the flames.
Flame Mastery (Su): The Snake Wife takes half damage from all sources of fire damage. In addition, all of the snake wife's natural attacks, unarmed strikes, breath of flame, and weapons deal an additional +1d6 points of fire damage. She also ignores the fire resistance of all other creatures, and against creatures with fire immunity, she deals half fire damage instead. Her bonus fire damage increases by +1d6 for every five HD she possesses.
Discern Lies (Ex): The snake wife gains a +8 bonus to sense motive checks to tell if another person is lying. She also gains the benefits of an always active discern lies spell as a completely mundane ability. In addition, if an effect would normally prevent such detection or would enhance one's ability to lie, she gains an automatic attempt to dispel it as if it were a spell (if it is otherwise not), using her hit dice as her caster level, with a +8 bonus. Only the spoken truth matters to this ability, and so it does not extend to illusions or invisibility, however lying by omission does count.
Hatred of Lies (Ex): The snake wife gains a +4 morale bonus to attack and damage rolls against creatures she has determined as liars or who have broken a promise, and must make a DC15 will save to not begin attacking such creatures on reveal.
UsurperBrand of Truth (Sp): If summoned as an usurper, the snake wife also gains the ability to cast mark of justice at-will, however the only trigger she may set is if the marked creature lies or breaks a promise.
Utility Summon – The snake wife is skilled at housework and caretaking. She has a bonus to checks made to cook, gather food, treat wounds, and manage finances equal to half her hit dice + 3.
