Jupiter Jupiter is the largest planet in the Sol system. While it does not emit visible light, it does emit heat through the Kelvin–Helmholtz mechanism -- this, coupled with the amount of light it reflects, allows for life on some of its largest moons. Ganymede? is home of the Dracion. Europa? is home of the Usajin. Jupiter's orbit is a scaled-down version of the solar system, with minor moons and the sparse ring acting as an asteroid belt; local commerce is made easy by the fact that leaving the Galilean moons is relatively easy even with chemical rockets. Nobody currently has the technology to harvest gases from Jupiter. |
