Self-Modification

(Used by the Autophage, Changeling, and Broodmother and her Childs)

1 Point Modifications

Increased Production (1 point)

• (Broodmother) On Self: You may treat your broodmother level as +4 higher when determining the amount of milk you produce each day.
• On Brood: Treat the Child's HD as +4 higher when determining the effects of its [production] abilities.

Giant Boobs (1 point)

• (Autophage, Changeling) On Self: You gain the Milk Production ability as a broodmother of half your level, and may take Increased Production as if you were a broodmother.
  • Improvement: For each improvement in your self modification rank above E, you treat your effective broodmother level as +1 higher for determining milk production.
• On Brood: The Child gains the Milk Production ability as a broodmother with a level equal to its hit dice. A Child with this ability must feed directly from you in order to support other Childs.
  • Improvement: For each improvement in your self modification rank above E, the Child treats its effective broodmother level as +2 higher for determining milk production.

Tough Skin (1 point)

• On Self: You gain a +1 increase to your natural armor.
• On Brood: The Child gains a +1 increase to its natural armor.
  • Improvement: You may take this modification an additional time each time your self modification rank improves (once more at rank D, twice more at rank C, etc).

2 Point Modifications

Excessive Toughness (2 points)

• On Self: You gain +1 HP per hit dice you possess. When brought below half of your maximum hit points, you gain Fast Healing 2; you may gain fast healing from this ability for a number of rounds each day equal to your base fortitude saving throw bonus.
  • Improvement: For each rank above E, the fast healing increases by +2.
• On Brood: The Child gains +2 HP per hit die, as well as the Ferocity universal monster ability.

Expanded Womb (2 points)

• (Broodmother) On Self:

Hybridization (2 points)

• On Brood: The Child may select a brood ability available at the same age category as itself. It gains that ability with the same limitations.
  • Improvement: This modification may be taken once at rank E, twice at rank D, three times at rank C, and four times at rank B.

3 Point Modifications

Hybridization (3 points)

• (Autophage) On Self: You may select a species ability from the following, and gain that ability for yourself with the same limitations. (insert here)
  • Improvement: At rank D, you add () to the list of options; at rank C, you add () to the list of options; at rank B, you add () to the list of options; at rank A, you add () to the list of options.
• (Changeling) On Self: You may select a universal monster ability from the following, and gain that ability for yourself with the normal limitations. (insert here)
  • Improvement: At rank D, you add () to the list of options; at rank C, you add () to the list of options; at rank B, you add () to the list of options; at rank A, you add () to the list of options.
• (Broodmother) On Self: You may select a brood ability available at the Young category, and gain it for yourself with the same limitations.
  • Improvement: At rank D, you may select a brood ability available at the Juvenile category, and at rank B you may select a brood ability available at the Adolescent category.
