  • Jesus is known to never leave the Temple - or so He chooses to present Himself. The stories of Him or one of His Angels traveling the world as a shoeless wanderer are many; those that have Him test people's faith by asking them to defend it, or by seeking hospitality, are considered suspicious.
  • There's a rumor among TOL and its affiliates: using the name of the Lord can and will draw His attention, making you much more likely to get struck by lightning. This may or may not be true, but in many haunts, there's a taboo against using any of the proper names of God. Slang terms like "the Authority", "TJ", or "the Man" get much more use. "El Caballo" is also sometimes used, a phrase coopted from ancient Cuban dissidents to refer to Fidel Castro.
  • Somewhere, buried deep underground - possibly under Cairo, or deep in Nevada, or Oxford - there's a repository of all human knowledge, stored just before the Appearing. If you could just dig deep enough, perhaps, it's possible to find it.
  • The story of Cendrillon Jospin was not told at her funeral - remembered, if at all, for being the first funeral in the Millennial Kingdom -- but it is still told at The Outer Light meetings, whether it be true or not.
