NPCs Fleb: A skilled and resourceful space trooper, Fleb possesses a knack for thinking on his feet and finding creative solutions in the heat of battle. His ability to improvise often surprises his adversaries and proves invaluable to the team's success.
Reef: Originally a traveling laser show performer, Reef's life took an unexpected turn when mistaken for a Photon Knight. Determined to live up to the role, Reef has embraced the act and now finds themselves caught up in the heroic journey. With their showmanship skills, they bring a flair for dramatic moments and a unique perspective to the team.
Ick: As a squid alien, Ick stands against the Space Nazis' oppressive ideology, particularly their plan to enslave non-human species. With a deep sense of justice and a strong desire to protect the rights of all beings, Ick fights alongside the team to ensure a future of freedom and equality.
Sixx and Daisy: This duo of rabbitfolks brings both contrasting strengths and a special bond to the team. Sixx, being tiny, excels in providing tactical guidance and strategic support from the sidelines. Their intelligence and keen observation skills make them an invaluable asset to the team's mission control. Daisy, on the other hand, is large and powerful, fulfilling the role of a formidable warrior. Though not known for their intellectual prowess, Daisy's sheer strength and unwavering loyalty make them a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
Stra-Khul the Dark Lord is a psionic copy of the real Dark Lord who was defeated a generation ago during the Star Empire's civil war. The Dark Lord made several such copies, imprinting his psyche onto hapless dupes who happened to be psionically compatible, in an attempt at a twisted bid for immortality. Only two of these copies remain, Stra-Khul and Zarth-Arn. The former clings to a semblance of sanity by allowing himself to revel in architectural excesses such as space stations adorned with gargoyles, or Dark Legion parades, or elaborate execution methods to be used on murderers and slavers, or weird costumes featuring oversized helmets and capes. The latter looks significantly saner to the outside world, using an austere (if somewhat spiky) military aesthetic, but has in fact embraced the original's complete sociopathy. The two dark lords rule over a small empire of about a dozen planets each, a far cry from more established nations like the two Imperial Remnants and the Phoenician Republic, boasting nearly a thousand planets each. The two Dark Lords each believe that the other is an impostor and harbor an irrational hatred for each other, often sending raiding parties into each other's territory. Neither can afford a full scale war, and other, less weird spacefaring nations see them as a minor nuisance at best. This low-intensity conflict draws mercenaries and adventurers, and the occasional foolhardy tourist. |
