Weapon and Armor Proficiency:
Broodmothers are proficient in the Axes, Close, Hammers, Flails, Natural, and Spears weapon groups, as well as all simple weapons.
Unarmored Defense: Broodmothers are proficient in unarmored defense, granting them a +3 bonus to armor class if they are unarmored. This bonus applies to touch attacks and flatfooted AC, but is lost if the broodmother is helpless. This bonus increases by +1 for every 3 points of base attack bonus the broodmother possesses, or for every 3 ranks in acrobatics, whichever is higher.
In addition, when not using a shield, a broodmother may apply her constitution modifier as a shield bonus to her armor class, with a maximum bonus equal to half (rounded down) of her fortitude saving throw bonus granted by her class level.
Starting Gold: 3d4 x 10 gp (average 75gp)
Alternate Favored Class Bonuses:
In place of selecting a +1 increase to hit points, a +1/2 increase to focus points, 1 additional skill rank, or 1/6th a racial feat when taking a level in broodmother when it is their favored class, one of the following benefits may be chosen instead. A Doll may select an alternate favored class benefit based on their original species.
- Aachian – +1/4th modification capacity of all your Childs.
- Abyssal – +1/4th increase to the natural armor of all your Childs
- Efwein – +1 Fire Resistance to all of your Childs, +2/5th to your Fire Resistance
- Gossamer – +2/3rd HP to all of your Childs
- Shabbali – +1/6th brood capacity, +1/3rd HP
- Tetlian – +1/6th bonus teamwork feat, +1/3rd skill rank
Class Features
Martial Maneuvers:
- May initiate maneuvers from a Child, using the Child's BAB and statistics, using your own action economy. Childs benefit from your current Stance.
- schools: Brutal Crocodile, Leaden Hyena, Primal Fury, Sleeping Goddess, Steel Serpent
- Recovery: A Broodmother may recover maneuvers in the following ways:
- Focus: Whenever the Broodmother regains psionic focus, she may recover 2 maneuvers as well.
- Masochism: For every 5 HP of damage to an ally that the broodmother prevents with Share Health, she may recover 1 maneuver.
- Psionic Momentum: When spending PP to perform a Child's special ability, may choose to regain a single maneuver with a level equal to or lower than the amount of power points spent.
Power Points: A broodmother is a psionic character, and gains power points as shown on the table above. She gains additional power points based on her wisdom score.
Brood Creation:
(includes rules for commanding brood; may issue 1 command as a move action, or 2 commands as a standard action. Some brood actions require the broodbother's PP or psionic focus to activate)
(Childs are always a part of the broodmother's collective, and do not count against its size)
Milk Production: (Produce milk, which provides nutrition and hydration to those that drink it. You do not benefit from your own milk. This produced milk is the only way to sustain a Child, outside of certain special abilities in the Child's entry)
Share Health (Su): (can take damage in place of member of collective. 1:1 for one of their Childs, but it's 2 HP per 1 point of damage for a non-Child ally.)
Bonus Teamwork Feats: (gain bonus teamwork feat; all of your Childs are treated as having this feat as well)
Collective Feats: (At 3rd level, can share 1 teamwork feat with entire collective, treating all members as having that feat. Can change this feat with 10 minutes of meditation. Increases as shown above)
