Geomancer

The Geomancer is a lightly armoured fighting mage that casts spells from the terrain she stands on.

Level 1

Special Action: Terrain - Based on certain terrain, a Geomancer can attack her enemies or heal her allies. If a terrain type is unclear, the GM should choose the closest reasonable type or make up a new one. At higher levels, these abilities become more powerful ones, or a choice of multiple abilities exists.

  • Rocky: Stone - Throw a stone. Offence 1, but can target a specific area of a monster and uses Magic+Geomancy instead of Aimed Fire. Stone will break or flinch a part if its damage taken is within 1 of its next Threshold. This does not affect the monster's overall damage.
  • Grassy: Sun Bath - Heal 1HP and gain the effect of a Hot Drink for 1 round. May target any ally within 5 spaces on the same terrain.
  • Sandy: Sand Blast - Fire a blinding blast of sand. Offence 0; hitting a monster's Head works as a Flash Bomb (if vulnerable to flash bomb).
  • Marshy: Poison Bubble - 0 Offence, Channeled, Deals Poison damage.
  • Forest and Scrub: Branch Arrows. Offence 2 Rapid Bow attack, using Magic+Geomancy.
  • Aerial: Gust. Offence 0, translates Wounds into 5' of pushback. Does not affect large monsters on the ground. Half effect on flying large monsters.
  • Village: Illumination. Targets a 5x5 square area and negates any stealth or magical concealment effects. Deals damage to the target's Defence stat for one round (Magic+Geomancy vs target's Magic Defence).
  • Fortified: Boiling Oil. Offence 1 fire damage magic attack that hits the target from above.
